I sing with Oslokoret, a 100+ voice Oslo pop choir that turns concerts into full-room singalongs.
Overview
Oslokoret is one of the things that keeps music practical for me. More than a hundred singers, a conductor, plenty of pop, soul and R&B, and a format that feels closer to a packed club night than a formal choir recital. The choir performs its own concerts and also works with artists, agencies, events and companies.
Challenge
A large pop choir only works when the individual voice serves the room. Timing, blend and energy matter as much as hitting the notes.
Approach
Show up prepared, listen harder than you sing, and treat the choir as one instrument. The interesting part is the mix of discipline and looseness.
Outcome
Oslokoret has filled venues including Sentralen, Vulkan Arena and Oslo Konserthus, and has collaborated with artists including Ramón, Maria Mena, Gabrielle, Dagny, Sondre Justad and Sondre Lerche.
